There certainly weren't as many traders. Spaces all over the place.
For sure, the number of traders was down, but it seemed to be the more popular ones that came to trade, and they all seemed to be happy at the end of the day which, as you know, is not the norm The comps and flea market were up slightly (and there weren't any re-enactors) and footfall was up quite a bit from last year - still some work going on about what to do with the wee upstairs gameshall. Seeing as York was quiet (although could have been the snow ) Sheffield was steady (at best) and Carronade was more efficient as I would put it, just wondering if it is going to be a slow year all round? Early days yet and, as always, Claymore will be a stonker I'm sure. Manana Dax

The recession is biting. I hear rumours of lots of trader complaints about Sheffield, two day show with one day's business.
Yeah, fair comment, I found Sheffield a bit flat myself - for an event that isn't all that big, two days seems a bit of a stretch to be honest, unless, of course, you are playing on both days . Goes down as fair to middling in my calendar. How was Salut, in comparison, I've never made it down but heard good things about it. Cheers Dax
