Dax,

I know it's still early days but are you anywhere near finalising the details for this event mate?

Cheers,

Darrell.

The date is a definite, and I'bve posted a wee bit up on the Impetus site about it.
We'll be going for 3 games of 300 points (including command) in a round robin event, pitting period against period - e.g. the 4 oldest armies will fight each other ionces each, then the next 4 oldest ect. etc.
I'll be asking for lists to be posted in advance to save time on the day. Unless Brian has put his prices up, £10 should cover the event and there will be a glass trophy type thing for the winner - he who gets the most points on the day!
Will post up more details soon, but looking forward to seeing you there -are you coming up for Carronade next week?
Cheers
Dax

Cool, it'll be good to see you again, you'll be missing your haggis and neeps...
Are you bringing any goodies up with you for the bring and buy? I'm doing a wee Impetus participation game, but will be sneaking off to see if I can bag any nice metal in between dice rolls!
Cheers

Hi chaps, just had word from ERM (Steve from little toy soldiers) and looks like there are another 4 coming up from down south on the 10th, which by my calculation makes 16 players who have expressed an interest. 8-)
I'll check with Brian if we have reached capacity, as there may be a few more who are coming up to play from outwith the club. 8-)
From a few discussions about competitions bringing out the worst in gamers (present club and company excepted of course) I'm just checking the Impetus site for direction on what to do about Impetus gaminess at competitions, but as far as "De Management" are concerned, anything that even looks gamey will be rewarded with a free psychotic muskrat down the trousers...... :handbag and if they really misbehave they will be forced to sit on the SESWC committee for a minimum of 12 months :bang :bang :bang

Hi Dax

The most we can cope with is 16 otherwise it will become a bit crowded, just to clarify, as we agree on the phone the cost will be £15 I need to know what terrain you need we can provide some but maybe not all compatible with 28mm and ancient period.

we have fields roads some hills, I'm not sure if impetus needs defined terrain features like FOG??

That weekend is the Colours weekend for us so if anyone wants tufts or anything else it will need to be pre-ordered

perry's
Lifecolour
Mutineer figures
20mm Africans
Tufts
FOW

if you can let guys know to e-mail me we can have any sorted out for the day

Hi Brian, for a while there it looked like 16 was not going to be enough, but we should have exactly 16 players on the day, with myself as a standby in case one of the players cannot make it.
We are playing three scenarios - "woods" (I'll bring the trees), "plains" - no terrain required and "Obstacle" which again., I will bring along (for those of you who are playing thyis means that there will be an impassible terrain piece placed within your deployment area - both sides to keep things even - and no other terrain on the table).
So, Brian, as long as you have eight 6ft x 4ft tables for us to use we are good to go
Cheers
Dax

Perfect, if you have 8 impassible pieces that'll save me bringing any over 8-)
All the best
