Find a suitable Smiley and I'll put it on!

I've looked. But not found one.

Chaps,
just getting my exccuses in early, but will be struggling to get all my troops painted up by mid April for the bash - I am okay for the three Austrian infantry regiments, but, with work commitments through the roof, my trip to the states in a couple of weeks and a further trip down south this weekend, I just don't have the painting time I would like. This means I will be three cavalry units down on what was expected. Obviously I'll do what I can and might be able to squeeze the 2 artillery units in, but my horses are more than doubtful.

OK Dax. When I made up the troop list for Dougie the Austrian order was noted as "might be ready" anyway.

Unfortunately Darrell you can't form skirmish with line troops unless you are going through rough terrain or have the "mixed formation" rule.
Also with columns a March column can't fire and gets a -2 save so not a good idea if under fire. Attack columns are better but only fire 1 die and get +1 save from inf fire.
Plus it takes a full move to change formation.

AFAIK we are not using March Columns in the SYW game as they were mainly used to assault fortifications and no units should have the "mixed order" rule.

My emails on the subject "Black Powder house rules so far", were as I said really for those who had not been to the club. The emails have the full list of who is in the group, so yes everyone has been sent the areas of concern for some people and some proposals for changes.

However the only one that has been agreed by the chaps at the club is the adoption of the 66% move and range.

Everything else on my emails is still being discussed AFAIK. Once decisions are made on other changes, I will put them out to everyone so we are all playing the same game rules.

Nae luck chaps, just after clearing the way for the fun weekend, my dear old mum decides to hold her 85th birthday party on the weekend of the 17th, (no comments about that meaning that she gave birth to me at the age of 5) I feel like I'm doing the hokey cokey with this game - but am going to have to miss this one after all.
Sorry chaps now I'm back to being extremely doubtful for the weekend.

Cheers
Dax
