Hi chaps, if anyone wants to join in I've posted details of the next Impetus day (in the Impetus section of the forum of course I managed to find a nice quiet spot). I'd love to see you there, plenty of FDWCers and Dunfermlinians already coming along. Guaranteed best day out you can have in Grangemouth on a wet Sunday for a fiver....... Just drop me a line if you are coming. Manana Dax

Hi Darrell, I doubt there would be enough room at Claymore for an Impetus competition, and last time competitions were discussed with the committee they were deemed as much of a non-starter as painting competitions and hamster tossing Whilst I doubt it would detract from the show - can't see it happening on logistical grounds. However, there might be room for a display or participation game of some sort if you had something in mind. I think big John is the one to talk to about Claymore organising I haven't been to SESWC for quite a while so this info may well be considerably out of date.... Manana Dax

Fair do's. I guess there just isn't the space? Or is it more to do with the extra organisation that it would entail? Or both .

Well, maybe sometime in the future but my life is a bit hectic at present and I doubt very much that I would be able to organise anything by early August this year.
I shouldm have a cracker of a display game for next year- I'll give you a clue- think New Zealand and the Flagstaff War..... oops, cat's out of the bag now!
Darrell.

Not enough room for a competition. And many people would be completely incapable of standing all the excitement.
No reason why there shouldn't be a display game, just needs someone to put it on.
